FLIGHT CLUB FLOW - ONCE/MONTH AT Shakti Power Yoga
Thursday April 16th, 6:15-7:30pm
A 75 minute vinyasa class with handstand + arm balance play woven in. Focus on building body-weight strength, mobility and proprioception for hand balance shapes + fun transitions. Increase fluidity and confidence in learning to FLY! Experience in vinyasa yoga is helpful.

MONTHLY MOBILITY - ONCE/MONTH at The Hot Room
Saturday April 11th, 1:00-2:15pm
A 75 minute all-levels pop-up class held in a comfortably warm room. This is a unique movement class designed to decrease joint stiffness, increase range of motion, promote fluid movement and support cross-training for your favorite activities. The format differs from that of a yoga class, so no yoga experience is necessary. We will isolate movements specifically for the spine, hips, shoulders, neck, knees + ankles, then integrate with mini flowstates. Joint-specific exercises are rooted in the worldwide accredited Functional Range Conditioning system used by pro athletes across the globe and are incredibly effective at re-training joint spaces to move through their intended ranges of motion. Learn how to alleviate low back + neck tension, improve movement in mid + upper back, and open space in shoulders + hips from all angles. Walk away with a greater understanding of your movement patterns, with exercises to do at home, then return the following month for another mobility class and layer your knowledge to continue improving your quality of movement! ISOLATE TO INTEGRATE - MOBILITY WORKSHOP at Sanctuary Yoga

Ever feel like Skandasana, Deep Squat, or Toe Stand are just out of reach? If your low back feels tense in forward folds, or if you've been skipping your favorite postures because they don't feel right in your body-during or after class-this is for you.
THE FOCUS:
This workshop will shine a spotlight on the spine + hips and their optimal mechanics. We'll dive deep into these two areas while also addressing how they integrate with the knees + ankles.

THE COUNTERBALANCE TO ARM BALANCING at Shakti Power Yoga
Saturday May 2nd, 2-4pm
Join Nicki, E-RYT and hand balance coach in exploring various flight-based shapes on your hands! Increase necessary mobility & strength for arm balances to feel more accessible. In this 2 hour workshop geared for all levels, we will aim to break down entries into crow pose, side crow, EPK1 + EPK2, firefly, funky crow, and flying pigeon. Options to work on transitions in + out of these postures will be offered for practitioners interested in advancing. Arm balance shapes are meant to be used to float from point A to point B, but sometimes it feels like the next step is just falling on your face! Decode what seems like arm balance magic by learning how to use your hands for weight-shifting and your entire body as a counter-balancing tool to remove that sense of heaviness when trying to lift your feet to fly. This practice challenges the nervous system to adapt "on the fly," leveling up not only bent arm strength but also bravery.
